Getting to Know Each Other
We know meeting someone for the first time can be intimidating and going to a new church for the first time can be nerve-racking. We want to help make your first experience at Somersville UCC a great one!
Service Times
We meet every weekend on Sundays at 22 Maple Street in Somers, CT.
Worship Service: Sundays at 10:00 AM
Sunday School: Sundays at 10:15 AM
Children and adults begin worship together; children then continue to Sunday School after the children’s message.
What Can I Expect?
HOW LONG is a Church service?
In total, a Somersville UCC service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the children’s time followed by reading of scripture. After scripture readings, our pastor will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
WHAT'S THE CULTURE LIKE AT SOMERSVILLE?
Sundays at Somersville UCC are friendly, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Clothes. Seriously, we offer a casual and relaxed atmosphere so please wear clothes that make you feel comfortable.
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
We believe that kids should grow in faith and have fun each week – and at Somersville UCC, we make this a priority. Our Sunday school teachers are experienced, creative and caring. If you choose, you are welcome to join in Sunday school activities with your children. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get yourself acquainted with your child’s teacher the first time you join us. Sunday school programming is available for ages 4 and up.
Our high school youth serve as staff members in our church’s digital ministry. While we believe that everyone has gifts specific to each person, it is not uncommon for our high school graduates to pursue interests in technology and broadcasting.
