WHAT WE DO
Experience
Worship
At the Congregational Church of Somersville, we worship God in the Spirit and truth. Worship is central to who we are and informs. All of our different ministries. We offer a variety of forms of worship including our principal service on Sunday morning. For those who cannot attend our principal service in person, we offer the ability to participate live online.
WHAT WE DO
Gathering
Community
We build Christian fellowship in many ways at the Somersville Church. Our locally-renowned community fundraising suppers not only gather together folks for food and fellowship, but they raise money to support our many other ministries. Neighborhood events on our Congregational Green and the Saturdays shared by our faithful volunteers and patrons of our thrift store, The Old Blacksmith Shop, are some other ways we form a Christ-like community.
WHAT WE DO
How We Serve
Others
Jesus taught that “They will know you are my disciples by your love” and we strive to live out that instruction in all that we do. Therefore, service to others is central to the faith we live. Just to offer one example of this – each month our congregation partners with another worthy organization to do good work in our community, nation, or throughout the world.
WHAT WE DO
Empowering
Your Growth
We seek to help you grow more and more in the image and likeness of Christ. Through a variety of programs, events and holy relationships we strengthen ourselves in body mind and Spirit as we grow in faith, hope and love.
WHAT WE DO
Children, Youth
and Families
We are a church for all ages and we value our children and youth. The Somersville Church provides programs for entire families. We partner with parents and grandparents in the intentional, ongoing faith formation of children and students, from infancy through college. We believe that children and youth are not just the church of the future , they inform the church of today.
